A small, always-on-top window that shows how much of your Claude.ai session and weekly limits are left — so you can glance any time without opening the settings page.

What it looks like

It pops out as a floating window that stays on top of your other apps. The bar fills as you use your limit and shifts from terracotta to amber to red.

Install in about 30 seconds

No account and no cost. You load the unpacked extension once per browser.

Download & unzip

Get the .zip above and unzip it into a folder, e.g. C:\ClaudeUsageWidget.

Load it in your browser

Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions), turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and pick the folder.

Open claude.ai

Log in, then click the Usage button at the bottom-right. The floating widget pops out — drag it to a corner.

Good to know

  • Uses your normal claude.ai login — no API keys or tokens to copy.
  • Reads only claude.ai, only your own usage. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
  • Keep a claude.ai tab open (it can be minimized) so the widget keeps updating; you click Usage once per browser session to pop it out.
  • It relies on an unofficial claude.ai endpoint (the same one the usage page uses), so it may need an update if Anthropic changes it.
